Distillers Spirit Dehydration Plant

Distillers Spirit Dehydration Plant (DSDP) in Nowa Wieś Wielka is placed on grounds owned by O.L.P.P. Sp. z o.o. and PKN „ORLEN" S.A.. The erection of dehydration installation was started in October 1996. In 1998 dehydration plant was modernized by adding additional strengthening column which strenghten the alcohol created during dehydration process. It enabled us to situate whole process in one place and to reduce significantly the production cost. The subsequent investment made in 2001 was an erection of steam boiler of 1MW making and building closed circulation of technological water. In 2002 reactors and evaporators column modernization took place, which goal was to increase the production capacity. In 2006 new, oil fuelled steam boiler with higher capacity powered by oil was installed. All changes were applied in order to reduce CO2 emission simultaneously reducing the fuel consumption and therefore also reducing production costs. Achieved effect allows us to produce bioethanol which is applied as a gasoline biocomponent meeting the most strict environmental requirements.
